I have a th350 transmission problem?
Ok, i have a 1977 GMC Jimmy, its all stock. got a 400 small block under the hood, now down to the trans. i have 2 currently 1 in one on the table, next to the truck. both have problems,(table has no reverese it is the orginail trans, the one in it is missing 4 bolts that old it in and a shift linkage i belive, it also leaks like mad) i was thinking a rebuild kit? high proformance even? i have no idea what im doing. i have 2 maunals, that shed some light as what to do. but should i buy a brand new trans, rebuilt trans, or get that kit and do it myself, i only have 625 dollars right now. and i was leaning on rebuild but im not sure.

A rebuilt transmission is probably your best bet, They are fairly cheap and work just as well as a new one if they are done right. You might consider trading both of your transmisions for a rebuilt one to bring down the price.
